Is chasing self-improvement intrinsically a negative experience?
Post Body

“The desire for more positive experience is itself a negative experience. And, paradoxically, the acceptance of one’s negative experience is itself a positive experience.” (The Subtle Art of not giving a F*ck, Mark Manson)

So I ask, if one desires contentment with themselves in the present, is chasing self-improvement, automatically putting themselves in a state of lacking and discomfort in one’s present self, overall a negative experience?
