A troubled soul entangled in vices, my brother’s (32M) life was one which was bleak and full of strife. The climax was reached when he reached the lowest point in his life and decided to look for assistance. He didn’t have to continue living a miserable life. He began rehab out of sheer persistence and fought his demons with all of his might. It was a long and difficult process of recovery, he suffered from relapses and setbacks but however he fought it out.
Slowly, he began to start life over again and build it up from the bases. Applying this concept, he accepted therapy and developed ways on how to cope up with his situation and reunited with his family. He discovered a hobby in woodworking and focused his passion to make beautiful hand workmanship furniture. By his sheer determination and perseverance he was able to stand up on his own and after being a drug addict.
Today my brother has moved past all the struggles and has become a man passionately living his second chance to the fullest. It is inspiring and the kind of journey that speaks hope for anyone who is fighting his or her own wars. Anything positive you do now, will change your life later when you believe in yourself.
