I ramble, my apologies. I am turning 25 in a few weeks, and after feeling stuck in a plateau for what feels like forever… I’ve come to the realization weightlifting has lost its appeal to me. Aside from the standard lack of motivation, I don’t enjoy my time in the gym. Most of the time I wait until the last minute and rush through until I either run out of time or decide to quit were I’m at. After 5 years, I’m at a loss. I would like to continue working out, although I’m not sure where to go from here. I seem to have trouble following workout routines, so I already know consistency is a big issue. Any advice on how to better structure a schedule that works for me? Or perhaps I should experiment with other activities to stay fit? (Martial arts, running, calisthenics, etc.) it would see I have all the pieces, I just have trouble placing them together.
It should also be worth noting I work a fairly physically intensive job, I transport patients in their beds at a hospital, so I am pushing and pulling weight for about eight hours a day for 40 hours a week on average. I am also aware this plays a factor as well. Any advice welcome
