Now I know everyone has an opinion like everyone has an ass, and I am not trying to say you should not engage in causes, however I have realized I personally need to engage less in politics and more in trying to increase my earning potential. Recently I was contemplating how my industry has been downsizing in my area and I might need a plan B if I want to grow.. This made me realize I had been moping about the state of the US and had considered eventually moving to another country, but was moping about the downsides of that too. I needed direction, but it was not until I ignored the political aspects and focused on bettering myself that I found my next move forward. When I lived in my small hometown I would focus on activism instead of focusing on bettering my lot outside going to school. It was when I decided to move that things took off. Obviously you don't want to live in an area totally anti-thetical to what you believe but regardless of the national debt' global warming or whatever you can thrive in the chaos and give yourself a better shot at doing better whereas politicians usually barely care outside getting elected.
