Can't access anything on proxy manager from outside local network

Post Body

I am a huge linux and self hosting in general noob, and it's also 1:00am and after roughly a month of toiling just trying to get SOMETHING work, I have once again reached a hurdle that, despite me following directions to a tea, has resulted in some unknown issue that for some reason seems to be specific to me, so I apologize if this is a stupid post, and let me know if there's any other info I can provide.

I recently (finally) managed to set up a nextcloud container on my server. I also bought a domain name, put it in cloudflare, and set up nginx proxy manager, so that I could access it., and anything else I want from anywhere I want. This does not work. I can access nextcloud from inside my local network just fine, using my subdomain. I cannot do so from outside my network, it just times out. I also tested it out using a minecraft server, which also failed to connect, and said, "unknown host."

I am near my wit's end here. I will provide as much information as I can. I followed this guide to set up my nginx and cloudflare settings: https://youtu.be/GarMdDTAZJo

As for my server, I've got an old Dell Optiplex running Proxmox. On Proxmox, I have an ubuntu VM that I'm using for all my actual services. I have a samba share set up, cockpit, and portainer. In portainer/docker, I have two stacks; nextcloud, and nginx proxy manager, both with a MariaDB database.

Like I said, for my domain and cloudflare settings, I followed the video above. I have also port forwarded the ports I need to on my router, as well as trying a bunch of other ports that didnt work. As far as I can tell, there's no reason why this shouldn't be working. I'm really hoping I'm just making some stupid mistake. Sorry for my insane ramblings, and thank you for any help.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the one part of the guide I was not able to follow in the video is that in cloudflare, I was not able to proxy my DNS records, so that might have something to do with it, but it kept giving me the error 1004: this record type cannot be proxied.
