Does anyone else feel a strong/connection to other self harmers?

This is going to sound really strange and I'm not quite sure how to explain. But it's like, when I see someone who has self harm scars, I feel this weird connection to that person, like we share something special? For example there's this guy in my class and I feel like I really would like to talk with him and share out experiences and struggles together. Ik this sounds delusional haha but just wanted to get it off my chest .
