I really want to cut again ,but I'm worried about going too deep

I ended up getting stitches on my arm. I want to cut but avoid getting stitches. The ER was a waste of time and money I would rather have given them too myself. But anything I can do too avoid getting stitches for future relapse. Because I'll probably self harm again life is just getting too hard and I need an outlet.
