I go a few years cutting and then somehow I quit long enough for the scars to heal and when they do I cover them with tattoos. But then I pick it back up again, so I have to find a new pace to cut to avoid ruining my tattoos. At this point I have a few. I like my tattoos enough, I guess. I’ll just always know they’re only there to hide the scars and that def takes the charm away.

My most recent blight of cutting (today is day 60 of being clean) left me with very deep scars, about 1/8” into my skin. I’m not sure how to cover those up, so I’m considering just leaving them.

Thoughts on covering up scars vs letting them be? Does anyone else get tattoos over their scars?
