Do timer lock boxes always open for use in selfbondage?

Question that is buried in comments posted for anyone to answer. Do the timer lock boxes always work? I could put the keys to the cuff padlocks in the box. Set the timer for the next morning so I wouldn't be able to get them off. I would have to sleep with them on. But I have to know that the box will ALWAYS open. Can't exactly go to my work with cuffs and collar locked on. Do they have a failsafe that will always open?
