I really don't even know where to start, I guess with what happened to me. So as the title read I've been out of work for almost 8 months, throwing out app's here and there with no bites, big surprise right? So last Friday I get a call from this place called ABA (Advanced Business Acquisitions) some of you may have heard of them, or maybe not but they are basically a multi level marketing firm A.K.A. "pyramid scheme".
Now I can imagine most of you are like "big deal, suck it up, money is money" Well not at the cost of my morals and dignity, I don't know how you feel but me personally I don't like nor feel comfortable going around a neighborhood asking 70 people if they would like to sign up for AT&T U-Verse, it's just not my cup o tea. I think it's wrong, it's a step bellow tele-marketing.
So to make a short story short, I basically am not going to show up any more, I don't see it as a problem seeing as how I signed a W-4 form which more or less means I was self employed, so I don't see a legal issue there. The only problem I see is me burning bridges, but I don't really care about that. Anyway I just wanted to share my experience and see if there's anyone else on Reddit who had dealt with a situation like this and is doing something they enjoy much more since leaving.
