I (26M) have been out of a serious relationship for about 9 months and have been going out. I’ve been talking to a lot of women but they’d just like to be “friends” and check on me either that or they have a boyfriend and they’re looking for friends… or they’re not looking for anything according to them. But they’d still like to hangout.

Mind you I made most of these women aware ahead of time that I am looking for more than friends. Yet they express disappointment if I try to get out of the situation and they would rather string me along.

I can count the number of women on my fingertips whom I’ve been talking to and they just either take advice from me for someone they’re interested in if they’re single, or they already have boyfriends and don’t want anything more than to be friends with me..

It’s kind of heartbreaking that almost every encounter I have with women ends up with just being “friends” and nothing more. And then begins a “friendship” with them either breadcrumbing me or doing the small talk everyday.
