Someone stole things from me that ended up being a minor inconvenience.
Post Body

I remembered this from another subreddit and just wanted to put the whole story here. Just to put my thoughts somewhere. But I ended up breaking my ankle some months before, and I was, naturally, advised to rest. I couldn't do any house work or anything of that nature. House was a mess, my mother wasn't in the shape to handle it, my grandmother wasn't in the shape to handle it either. And any time my bad foot so much as touched the ground, I got scolded.

So my mom hires some people to come over and clean the house, and make some repairs. She paid them around $5k? Somewhere around there? Well, they ended up stealing $30k worth of stuff from my mother and grandmother. They also stole a few things of mine, but their choices genuinely baffled me.

See, at the time, I had an Xbox One, a Nintendo Switch, a Playstation 4, an Alienware laptop, an an HD 4k Television. On top of that, I had various collectibles in my room, and some old PS2 games that I kept from my childhood that are, now, pretty rare. But they didn't touch ANY of that. You know what they stole?

My left shoe, which belonged to my bad foot. A pack of thumbtacks, and a pair of my nailclippers.

Out of EVERYTHING they could've stolen from me, they stole maybe $20 worth of stuff. I mean, I'm not complaining, sure. It could've been worse but like-

The fuck do you need a SHOE, some thumbtacks, and some fucking nailclippers for? It still confuses me to this day.
