I Want To Improve My Social Confidence

What are some steps or things I can do to really increase my social confidence? I want to become more confident and charismatic when it comes to approaching women. Growing up I have never really approached women and talked to them in person much at all. I always tend to rely on dating apps to get dates and talk to women which i’m sick of for obvious reasons. I want to increase my confidence in doing it in person and not be so awkward. However, I do understand there are baby steps and one of the stepping stones is I need to be more confident in talking to anyone, not just women. It’s not that I am bad at making/carrying on conversations, especially when they give good answers to build on. I just seem to lack motivation if that makes sense. If I have an opportunity to open a conversation with a random stranger I often just don’t because I don’t feel like it or don’t want to put the effort in. How do I overcome this? The more I get comfortable and WANT to talk and socialize with people, random or not, I feel the better and more confident I’ll become at eventually approaching women. Are there steps you can suggest I implement to my day to day that will grow my conversation skills and overcome this lack of motivation/anxiety to socialize? This is a huge part of my life i’d like to work on.
