Post Body

So a friend keeps saying I scare chicks away (I have had some come up to me and chat me up but I did not invest too heavily into it). He wanted to invite a friend's friend with, which is cool of him. But then he was saying I should cut out politics and nerdy stuff. I replied that while I do bullshit with him, I am not going to go straight into Heidegger with her and asked what should I discuss then? He was like you have to play the game until she is interested (and did not elaborate what to talk about). I usually talk travel, might flirt a bit, and might just bs about shit happening around town, but that last statement reeks of scarcity mindset (he has done well, so I don't want to automatically shoot the messenger).

I know I probably should keep my achievement in WOW or the intricacies of my mini figure collections out of it (I do neither, but is more hyperbole), but at what point is this operating from a scarcity mindset vs common sense? There have been girls I have done nothing but talk about Nootropics and other random shit to them and they were all beamed up and we also talked other random bs. I also get trying to elicit emotion too and that has been something I have been working on. I just want to find a balance to this.
