Hi folks, I have been a longtime lurker and now I have a situation. I have been a member at this gym for more than a year and I always noticed this cute Chinese girl with a nice ass gyming by herself. I previously followed the rule of not hitting on girls in the gym but not with this girl ever since a few months ago. She typically did not look at anyone or smile at anyone even when I tried to make eye contact with her until one day. The first time there appeared to be IOI on her side was a few months ago when our eyes met and she smiled so wide and waved at me when I was working out. I was surprised and took it as my sign that she was open to getting to know me.

So every time our eyes meet in the gym, we would smile and wave at each other. I would also time my workout to end such that we would “coincidentally” be leaving at the same time and get to have a one on one conversation before we part ways. Recently I noticed her either suddenly bending her knees or tilting her head to the side whenever she says hi to me. (Ngl, she looks really cute when she does it.) Whenever we talk either during gym or after gym, I must point out that she would always take out her earbuds because I noticed this is something some folks have indicated as an IOI.

So far our conversations have been about sharing fairly surface level information about each other. I don’t know whether she is married or have a boyfriend but I am still surprised at her sudden change in attitude towards me since a few months ago. So I want to know whether am I thinking too much about the situation or do I actually have a chance with her.
