Storytime y'all!
So for the sake of keeping my job, I've gotta be a little vague.
TL;DR My site supervisor thinks they're my company boss and a head security guard and thought they could squeeze out some free labor. HR said no and laughed maniacally, it was magical y'all.
So, as any fine stalker would know, I work for [redacted to protect agent], at a medical center in downtown [redacted], and I usually work third shift.
Well, the other guard is "sick" (called in two days ahead of schedule to call in sick today, HR lady was not happy with that excuse) and they need someone to cover his shift. I figured since it's my regular post, I might as well offer to cover for him, since it's a six hour shift and at my main post, no big deal.
Cue my site supervisor popping off with "You'll have to stay late because we let patients sleep here overnight, you'll have to stay until 2:30am. The other guy does it all the time."
Me:"I wish they would have conveyed this to me when I accepted the job"
SS:"You'll just have to call your boss and tell them"
Me:"You know what? Let's call em right now" proceeds to call my actual bosses
I found out that I am only to stay until midnight, and that the other guard has been breaking a company rule in regards to billing and time theft for several months now. I told them I would leave at midnight and to told them they could deal with the site supervisors attitude, our company knows they have an attitude problem so the HR lady laughed it off and said she would.
Don't you love it when the site supervisor thinks they're your boss and a head security guard? The latter part is for another storytime.
