I have linked my Amazon wishlist in my profile as a way to show my secret santa different things that I may be interested in. It is linked to my main amazon account so the list has a multitude of different things on it from stuffies to craft supplies to snacks and even some clothing items (as well as items in all different price ranges). I will admit there are even some very random and weird items on there. I use this list for things that I want to someday purchase for myself, as well as for ideas for other people when they ask for gift ideas for birthdays or Christmas. I also am a part of a group here on reddit where people gift each other wish list items.
All of that being said, my wish list may not directly relate to each exchange that I participate in. One of the Santas in an exchange that I am participating in right now pointed out that my wish list was confusing because there were no items related to my exchange and this made me second guess my decision to have my wish list linked. I thought that linking it could be helpful and just another resource into learning about me and what I am interested in, but should I maybe remove it and only link it in relevant exchanges?
Though I don't want to ever push my wish list on anybody either because honestly, I am just as happy receiving an item not on my wishlist as well. Which is why I have linked it in my profile and not the exchange information directly.
