I heard about Redditgifts in 2014 on our local news. The news anchor was talking about Bill Gates sent someone a secret Santa. At first, I thought he was matched with another celebrity. Later on, they said that they have an annual exchange.

Of course, I missed that exchanged. I always said next year. I always missed it. It was until I lost my job and at my lowest. I said to my friends, probably missed it. Shockingly, I was able to sign up for the Secret Santa 2017. I did two that year. One was the exchange and the other rematch. I loved it.

After the exchanges was over, I signed up for the newsletter and to my surprise that they do other exchanges all year round. I was no longer depressed. I love helping others and spreading joy to others.

Years went on and I improved my exchanges by helping local business where I live. If you have gotten an exchange from me, you probably got a cookie or two or more. Lol. The very first exchange I wanted to include the cookie I walked into the shop. I told the owner that I am buying a cookie and giving it away. She wanted more. Told her what it was and she was tickled pink. From that moment on, I include those cookies in the exchange, if they don’t have an allergy. That is only if I send the package myself, sadly.

I have learned a lot from all of the exchanges that I done. From the gifts I received to getting gifts for others. I have grown a lot.

On this journey I have done 80 exchanges with over 100 trophies. I am glad that I found Redditgifts. However, it felt like Redditgifts found me when I needed it the most. I have so many favorite gifts I sent. The hardest and my favorite one was last year when I sent pie to my giftee. I work for shipt and because of Covid I didn’t want to send anything from my home. I mean I could write a whole book on the gifts that I send. Lol
