Would you mind sitting through a story? Not too long, and might rekindle your belief in being the SS you want to be.

Last year was my first year doing SS. What my ornament Santa sent cost much less than the recommended $20.... However, it was worth MORE... because it was hand made... and I had a ton of paper origami cranes sent with it. The ornament is currently placed right where I can see it every time I look at our Xmas tree.... and the origami cranes are on my bookshelf. Yes, even a year later.

I am seeing way too many stories of SS's getting matched with giftees that are asking for ridiculous stuff. Gimme a PS5, send me thousands of dollars, or even try and guess what they want. Please, PLEASE do not let these giftees take away your Xmas spirit. Either report them to the mods and/or, seriously, do the bare minimum. And then sign up to be a re-matcher.

I know a bunch of you like to buy a ton of gifts, wrap them and send them off. Good on you! You do you baby. Just know that, no matter what, a gift from the heart is worth a hell of a lot more than anything else.

You ALL are so wonderful and have infused me with a HUGE amount of holiday spirit!! I send you all a virtual hug, and know that your best IS good enough!!!

EDIT TO ADD: No matter what it is you do, whether creating something with your own two hands or buying something........at the end of the day...... IT IS THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS!!!
