To allow RV dwellers to park all across Georgetown ? The city continues (with no plan) to push the RVs from Sodo and stadium area to Georgetown.
Isn't Marc Dones and the grift that is the KCRHA suppose to have a plan to address this as part of their $12 billion dollar ask? Last I heard the only thing in their plan to address this was $1 million to cover the lot for RVs to park in. I've lived in Georgetown 6 years and RV dwellers suck as far as being neighborly. Generators 24/7, the riff raff with their hoodies covering their faces that usually hang around, are obviously fucked up on or selling drugs; the screaming and yelling 24/7; the explosive propane tanks; the city does absolutely nothing to solve this problem.
Empathy? Sorry. Tried that and it only leads to contribute to their sense of entitlement. The KCRHA could open KOA like campgrounds utilizing the amount of land the city owns. This solution would certainly provide electricity, running water and portable bathrooms for use. It seems like low hanging fruit but noooooo. Granted RV dwellers aren't technically homeless, but a majority of the RVs are in such dilapidated condition, they might as well be. Leads me to assume a person has to be fucked up on drugs to live (and I use that term lightly) in a trailer full of the shit that they hoard. I've seen the same RVs with the same feral people caravanning around the city. These aren't just down and out people, but they seem content with being strung out on meth and fentanyl.
I guarantee you that if any of the Seattle City Council members had RVs in their neighborhoods, they would be horrified and would pull political strings to have them removed.
Plan and simple ; the homelessness crisis declared an emergency by the city multiple times over the past 10 years is not treated as a crisis cause the progress has been minimal with very little to show for middle class and blue collar tax payers being passed away by city government employees who are grifting the funds into bullshit programs that are proven to not get results. It's astounding how much their lack of a tactical or strategic plan has costs tax payers........but Marc Dones can take vacations and provide all the useless employees unlimited vacation.
