Just yesterday I chatted with an elderly couple at the salon and my love for seaglass got brought up. The lady was quick to tell me about a rocky beach shared by 2 bars where a creek drains into lake Erie. They told me people used to sit on the patios of the bars and have contest who could throw bottles further into the rocks and lake etc. And also that upstream of the creek used to be a popular illegal dump site throughout the 60s-80s before authorities started cracking down on it. The water was very calm today and I decided to go hunting through the shallows and within less than 3 hours I found all of this! I have gallon bags full of regular old pieces and a few intact peices of bottles that has taken me years to accumulate. I definitely will be going back as much as possible. Last picture is what I believe to be a part of a electrical insulator that they used on power lines??? Hope you guys enjoy!
