Long story short: I'm dabbling in AI to use as reference and to fuel my creativity. Mainly to add elements to my comic (background posters, layouts of fictional magazines etc.), to visualize lighting and colors or give me ideas.

I have a clear image in my head but once I get to describing it the AI's that I use churn out things that are not what I asked at all. I tried several ways of wording things but they keep pounding out the same thing.

For example I want an image of:

  • "a beautiful sexy redhead with red skin and dragonfly wings, she has freckles, long flowing hair, hovering above a person lying in bed, camera is frontal POV, pointing finger at viewer (i.e. you)"
--> The AI made the skin slightly more red but I mean actually RED, like a Red Andorian/Orion. She also never floats or flies above the person. Just lying on a bed. Finger pointing sometimes work but no POV.

I also tried to mimic the National Lampoons cover with the dog having a gun against its head that read "buy this magazine or..."

  • "adorable piglet sitting on a kitchen counter, scared look, large obese chef behind piglet holding two kitchen knives, torso only, no head,"
--> The AI completely removes the chef and gives the piglet a smile and knives, every time. emphasizing on the chef it makes the piglet a chef.

As for the lighting issue I'm currently drawing people sitting in their car at night so I asked the AI

  • "beautiful woman in car, nighttime, side view, moody lighting, dashboard lights"
--> Here it again completely forgets the side view and dashboard lights (which is probably too much to ask but I want it lit more dramatic than just a daylight shot), it does something with the light but it of course never looks the way I see it in my head for a split second before I lose it again when I start coloring it myself

a final example is for a sticker on a guy's car:

  • " car decal, sexy naked woman with fiery red hair lunging forward, engulfed in flames, legs of fire, large naked breasts, fiery nipples, open mouth, beautiful face, piercing eyes, side view, right side, white background, no background, thick outlines, comic, pinup"
--> it does most of it but the legs are not made of fire like for example the human torch, I tried first to make a serpent woman a la medusa but only got scales. Nipples and hair are normal, side view doesn't work

I'm using several (free) sites for this with whatever model or lora I see that might do something decent but I never get any of the results people in the gallery sections get.
Any tips or help are appreciated.
