That sprint race says it all about the differences in attitude between Carlos and Charles. Carlos is clearly not going to let it be assumed that Charles is the focus of the team and the WDC. His aggressive overtakes forced the two cars to slow to avoid colliding and let Max easily speed away and create an unattainable gap between them. Meanwhile Charles was able to put up the fastest lap throughout most of the sprint, and it is pretty likely that he may have been able to overtake Max or at least put up a very good fight had his start not been compromised with having to overtake Carlos. In the post-sprint interviews it was pretty obvious the two Ferrari drivers saw that race from very different perspectives, with Carlos displaying that he is there to be competitive and Charles hoping the two could work together against Max. I do think it is fair to admit, that with Carlosโ Silverstone win, Charles is not the obvious front runner that he was a few races ago and I believe Carlos feels the same and no obligation to bow to him in the chase for WDC points. So where does the team go from here?
