DiveMaster a bunch of diving
Post Body

Hello fellow divers, I have finished my rescue course and I look for the option of doing my DM.

I would really appreciate your feedback here.

I have about 50 dives in a year since I started diving.

I cannot dive locally, I always have to travel abroad and diving season is also touristic season, making everything more expensive.

Go diving somewhere is going to average at 100 euros per day (guided) (50 per dive), and since I am really passionate I want to go somewhere and dive for several weeks, or even a month or two.

A DM course would give me diving for about 1000 euros over 40 dives making it cheaper than fun dives, and an internship could make it even more affordable.

I have read here some suggestions that DM is not a good idea if you don't plan to do it full time, or progress as an instructor, but in my books it makes it pays off before I even begin. Do you think that its worth it, from that point of view? I mean in the end I will have developed more skills than fun diving and learn more for the industry.

My ideal path for scuba diving is to shoot and teach photography (I am dry land photographer). And DM unlocks that option.

Last but not least, after becoming a DM is it easy to find cheap or free diving in exchange for some guiding / assistance ?
