Finding diving excursions
Post Body

Greetings divers !

I am around the corner with finishing my PADI open water !

I live in a landlocked country, and thus I don't have as many diving opportunities as I would like.

I have been thinking for a long time to visit the Baltic countries and why not, combine it with some diving adventures.

I am a solo traveler, and thus I am a bit confused on how to plan that.

In my research in southern countries that sea turism is major, I find a ton of guided excursions even daily, diving resorts etc.

Even though I was able to find a handful of dive sites in the areas between Tallinn-Riga-Klaipeda I haven't been able to find any locally planned excursions.

So my question is how do you guys plan such dive - vacations ?

Another concern I have as a nod driver, I about renting equipment locally. Because getting on the bus with a bcd and an air tank, is not going to be an easy trip 😂. Since almost all diveshops are not near the shore 🤔

Another question for maybe locals is about the seasons and the wetsuit. Do you think a wet suit or at least a semi dry would be enough for an early September dive in that area ? (Are there any websites for such weather information ? ie water temperature)

Are there any communities to find a dive buddy if no organized excursions are in place ?

Most local diveshops I was able to find are organizing diving trips abroad, and that's a bummer 😕

Anyway, thank you for reading through, and any information is welcome 🙂
