Hi guys,
I'm looking to join a BSAC club in London, and dive in the UK coastal waters, but it's all a bit confusing so I'm hoping someone has good recommendations. I'm new to the whole BSAC system and there are so many clubs I'm not sure how to pick between them.
I'm PADI Rescue Diver certified with Nitrox and Dry Suit qualifications, though I'm not that confident in a drysuit yet. Also haven't gotten around to buying any equipment yet, but would be happy to buy the whole kit. I'm hoping to be in for the long haul, and would be happy to volunteer time as a dive planner or instructor eventually.
Also, I wanted to ask why all the clubs seem to have pool sessions every week. Do people really like diving in a swimming pool that much? I did my OW in a shallow inland lake and even that was very unpleasant.
Edit: I'd also be very interested in picking up technical diving so it'd be great if there was a club that had a good programme on that.
