Do/did your clinical sites require personal health insurance?

Just got this sprung on us, right after open enrollment ended of course. Was wondering if anyone else's clinical sites required them to have proof of personal health insurance? On top of all the other costs of life, now I have to find insurance and somehow just afford that. Feeling very exhausted and pulled thin.
