Hello all,
I live and work in North Africa and I have one of these little guys that the company bought me. I've just finished the break-in period (1000km) and so I can now drive it up to 55km/h and take two people at a time.
I was under the impression that, with such scooters where the motor is not air-cooled, you have to stop every 30 miles of top-speed use and let everything cool down or else you'll destroy your engine. However, I've talked to my friends who say they've brought exactly the same kind of 50cc scooters on 350km trips without overheating issues. The more I look on the internet, the more people I see that claim that, even with non-air-cooled motors, you can take your 50cc on long-distance trips provided you don't full-throttle it for hours at a time.
What's your guys' opinion on this?
EDIT I've just looked up the official stats on Rymco's page (http://rymco.ma/fr/motos/safari/index.html) and it says that the scooter is air-cooled. What does this mean for long-distance trips?
