Hello all. I hope the New Year is finding you well.
Exercise seems to be a topic often discussed on this subreddit, and for good reason. I've given my opinion on the topic in different posts, based on my own research, what I've learned through experience, and what I was told during physical therapy.
But I wanted to put this question out there for the community as a whole. What are your opinions about lifting heavy with scoliosis? By this I mean think like power lifting or the popular "high weights low reps" scheme you see a lot today.
My hunch is that it's best avoided, and that the "big 3" power lifting lifts are not the best choices for us scoliosis sufferers, particularly the barbell back squat. The Olympic lifts are also probably bad ideas as well. But what are your experiences? What have you learned from your research?
