Scoliosis leading to chronic pain
Post Body

So I've had scoliosis for about 7 years now. (I'm 20 and was diagnosed at 13) Last I got checked about 4-5 years ago, I was at a 40-45 degree curvature, with curves in my middle and lower back, as well as in my neck. I wore a back brace for a little while at first, but quickly stopped for a couple of different reasons. The last year or so, because of my jobs, I've been getting excrutating pain in my hips and shoulder, making it difficult for me to walk, bend, and even sit and lay down. I've tried pain medication (which lead to many stomach ulcers) as well as yoga, heat, and ice. Yoga helps slightly, but pain killers and heat/ice don't. I don't have health insurance, so I can't afford to go to the doctor. Has anyone else dealt with pain like this? And if so, what did you find helped?
