Effects of smoking marijuana before surgery? & two curves but only one curve is being operated on?

Post Body

Iā€™m trying to be as prepared as possible for my surgery in January (27f, 49 degree thoracic curve, 37 lumbar). I have not smoked cigarettes since April 2021. However, I regularly smoke marijuana. I am wondering if it could lead to complications postop & if quitting in the months before surgery would be a good idea. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Also, has anyone had experience with only having one curve operated on? Did you have an easier recovery? My surgeon is choosing to only operate on the larger thoracic curve and let the lumbar curve correct itself over time.
