Like some kind of regular maintenance that happens every three months. The basically Alcubierre drives for interstellar travel attached to fusion torches for systemwide travel.
- Filters (water)
- Filters (air)
- Coolant
- Every. Single. Gasket. Has. To. Be. Checked. No seriously. If you're traipsing around a remotely grounded setting on a remotely regular tour the raw PARANOIA surrounding every single fitting in the entire ship would make a semiconductor clean room/operating theater environmental services person feel like you're being a little overboard. We can check gaskets with both ultrasound and various types of radiation nowadays but some stuff is gonna have to be disassembled.
- If at all possible you'll want to flood the entire ship with ethylene gas to ensure nothing unsavory got stuck in any of the systems. The ISS apparently has A Smell so that's a good opportunity to change out the local gas mixture.
- Sir Newton tells us that every magnetically or gravitationally active part is acted upon by an equal force. Meaning whatever you use to contain your fusion reactions and establish a Warp bubble is constantly getting pushed on. Re-aligning circuitry that's been loosened by the operations of your drives is gonna be important.
Warp bubble degradation could honestly work as a rather decent cap on millage. Yes more sauce = more fast and yes square cube law actually works in your favor in space but also your entire assembly is going to deteriorate the longer you abuse it so there's a point where you need to go to dry dock and get it all readjusted lest efficiencies drop down to such an extent you might not make it back at FTL.
