I would like to try and change a major portion of my story, revolving around the enemy faction: the SPL.
The SPL stands for Settlement Protection Legion, which was inspired by the Settlement Defense Front from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Having them be a terrorist faction that has became way too powerful. But now, the SPL is a Private Military Megacorporation that was what the name said, but has now became an alliance of many megacorporations to overthrow the interstellar government.
The name sounds stupid to me, but I don't want to change it since I don't want to rewrite all instances of the SPL in my story. Because the SPL does not seem like the correct naming for a group that destroys planets and assimilates populations into their ranks. So I want to try and see if there are any good enough workarounds to this.
doesn't seem like the correct naming
Err. Aside from what the Wheel of Time fan has said, why do you caaaaareeeeeeeeee.
The amount of People's, Freedom, Democratic, and Free People's Democratic type organizations that are none of the aforementioned is pretty damn high.
