Post Body

In my story, the main character is tasked with defending an artificial planet that is larger than North America. I have a few questions regarding the science behind this

So, the enemy launches a rail cannon from a ship tipped with an antimatter warhead, containing at least 10 kgs. Is this going to leave the planet intact, or leave the planet turned to dust.

Also, would the atmospheric/gravitational decay be related as the planet falls apart?

Comments

Solid slug of sufficient size and speed is enough.
