Help finding a vaguely remembered science fiction novel.
Post Body
This seems to have worked for others in the past, so I thought I'd see if anyone could help me identify a book that I read a long time ago, that I can't seem to remember the title of.
Key features:
- Not Ender's game, but had a teenager/young adult as a protagonist.
- The person in question was in a military academy setting. One of the classes was an astrophysics class. (A major plot point in the book was the hero realizing a tricky solution to a astrophysics problem involving trying to prevent a ship from crashing)
- At some point in the story, the protagonist got the Silver Star, for saving a bunch of his fellow students on an isolated moon mission.
- One of the major methods the protagonist would relax would be to go to a viewing area, listen to Holst's The Planets and watch the stars.
Thanks.
EDIT: Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll try to find them at my local library/bookstore and see if any of them ring a bell. Will post an update if I ever discover what it is.
