Considering Buying Used - Advice?
Post Body

Hi there.

Never owned a Schott but I'd love a 618. I'm a little leery of the price tag of a brand new one, especially with so many used options floating about.

What concerns me above all else is the fit. I confess I'm not totally sure of my size, I may be anywhere from a 40 to a 44 from what I see, hear, and read. I have a chest that falls somewhere between 40 and 41 inches, so I assume a 42 is probably on-point?

Question is... Is there a difference in how older versus newer models fit, despite a shared numeric model? Will a 618 bought in 2024 be the same as one from 2014, or 2004?

Any advice is appreciated. I'm sure this is talked about to death here but I genuinely don't know where to start.
