To Buy New or Used Schott Perfecto?

I used to rock a no-name, swamp meet leather biker leather jacket back in my high school days (mid 90’s). Fast forward to today, I hope to gift myself an authentic Schott Perfecto for my birthday this May.

I would like to get fitted at the Schott store here in Los Angeles. But now I’m feeling tempted to purchase a nice, broken in jacket instead.

What say you? Should I go for a proper sizing and go with a new jacket? Or pick up a good, worn, broken in jacket instead?
