Hi!
I'm planning to move back to the States (right now I'm in the Philippines), and would like to pursue Master's in School Counseling. But as of now I have no idea what I need to do. So I'm asking you guys for help!
Here's my background:
- Graduated with a bachelor's degree, Interdisciplinary Studies (Specialized in Creative Writing and Management), from one of the most reputable schools here in the Philippines (ranked 1000-1200 in the world as one of the best Universities). I also have a minor in Sociology.
- I say this because I have no idea whether or not my Bachelor's degree and Minor degree here in the Philippines would be even recognized by Master's program there.
My Questions:
(i). Given that I have an undergrad degree and minor in Sociology which I believe is a strong precursor/pre-requisite for me to be admitted to a Master's program there (but again, I'm from the PH) - can I go straight to a Master's program or do I have to take pre-requisite courses in Community college?
(ii.) What are the best schools in East Bay (Norther California) for Master's in School Counseling? But affordable
(iii.) I've had very hard life experiences which I think will make my case for Master's in School Counseling really strong. Do grants and scholarships vary per each region? Where can I find/apply for grants/scholarships?
Thanks guys. I know that my post is all over the place, but I'm currently not in the right environment right now to think clearly for my self. Atleast I was able to post this! I hope for fruitful replies from you guys!
