So I'm in a predicament at the moment.
I am a current senior about to graduate on time, with 30 with both high school and college credits. I just finished my first semester and I have gotten myself into a problem one of my classes.
Before I have to come to high school, I have to start the morning off with an 8:00 A.M. class at my community college. Until 10:40, I have to be back at high school for my 3rd period, which is Virtual Lab.
The problem I'm having right now is that I have missed this class because of life issues and transportation, and that teacher failed me due to absences.
About two days ago, I got a call that my appeal also did not get approved. I can't verify this so I don't know. The call did talk about me figuring out how I can get back the credits I lost. But I need to point out a few things:
- If I were to be in a credit recovery class, I would be recovering 0 credits for that class because it is a virtual lab, which means I do my work in the class ONLINE.
- My online class I am taking right now, on Florida Virtual School, is Economics with Financial Literacy. This class, is one of the only two classes at school that I need to graduate with my core 18 credits
- In my county, the requirement to completely graduate is 26 credits. But by the end of second semester, in May, I will have 30 credits due to taking many online classes.
What I'm writing to reddit is that I need advice on what to do. My parents don't think I'll graduate and go to college, even though I've explained to them on multiple occasions that I will get out of high school, that I will walk across the stage on May 24th, and that I will get a Florida college acceptance letter.
Send help.
You're average high school broke boi,

P.S., if you need to PM me, I am open for discussion.
