Looking for ideas for an older schnauzer who is turning his nose up at his food.
Post Body

So, our 11 year old, Laibach, has been on Purina E/N for years now (high triglycerides). A while back, he abruptly decided it sucked. Per the vet's instructions, we boiled some chicken breast and sprinkled it on top. Viola. He was happy again and that went on for quite a while.

Recently, he again decided that he wasn't having any of that crap. So we tried some other trickery. Carrots. Sweet potatoes. Boiled ground beef. A little broth. You name it. Nothing works for long.

I should point out, his appetite is fine... just not for the healthy stuff. He's gotten quite adept at licking off the good stuff and leaving the rest. Then, after a day or so of eating very little, he'll eat a decent amount. But I'm thinking there has to be some way of enticing him. If anyone has any outside the box ideas, we'd love to hear them.

tl;dr: Older dog doesn't want to eat the healthy dog food he needs. Ideas?
