Helping my schizophrenic friend with happy thoughts

Post Body

I have a female friend that is schizophrenic like me. We have a lot in common and I talk to her daily. Occasionally while she's working she will ask me to tell her something happy to make her schizophrenia not impact her current working situation. She just started this job so it's important to her to keep it. The problem is I have a hard time coming up with happy things like puppy pictures and saying "you are so pretty and talented". I feel like that's not serving her well. Is there a coping mechanism I can use that will help me bring her moments of joy during her day and lessen the impact that her intrusive thoughts and voices that effect her? I hope this makes sense.

I know what works for me and I'm fairly simple when I need a schizophrenic distraction. For me a video chat or a funny discussion usually really helps my intrusive thoughts and voices when they get bad. I just feel like I fail her and she has come to count on me. I really low-key like this woman and want to better serve her as a friend for now. Help?
