Any good resources about prodromal schizophrenia, and what kind of doctor should I see?

Post Body

Hello all,

Schizophrenia runs in my family. I'm a little concerned I may be developing it (27F). I know no one here can diagnose me, but I'd like to learn more about the prodromal phase of schizophrenia, more than just what WebMD states. Does anyone have any good resources?

Also, if anyone knows how to identify a good doctor for assessing for schizophrenia, that would be great. I'm on meds right now, for anxiety and depression and (maybe) bipolar, and one of them is an antipsychotic, so that might be offsetting symptoms for me, so I really need someone who's an expert or close to it, someone who will really listen and see the nuances in my condition (whatever that condition is). I do see a psychiatric nurse practitioner, but again, it's very nuanced for me and I fear she'll just see that I have no outright delusions or hallucinations and write it off. For me, it's more disorganized thought and negative symptoms.

I'm just so tired of not knowing what's wrong with me.
