I'm starting study mid august. It's for a certificate in mental health. I want to be a peer support worker. Which is Australian for a person with a lived experience in mental health. Ive been in hospitals and residential care facilities and through a flurry of meds. Im on disability because I can't work much. This way I can use my disability to my advantage to help others through their own struggles. But having schizoaffective disorder in this line of work seems to be few and far between. Im keen hopefully I can concentrate on the study. I feel like I can but we never know till we try.
