Seroquel question

Post Body

I profusely apologize for posting here, I just don’t know where to ask this so if someone can tell me that would greatly help

I’ve recently been prescribed seroquel but I’m also somewhat an alcoholic and I just had a few drinks and am trying to force myself not to have more bc I’m supposed to take my seroquel soon but I don’t even know if it’s safe to? My psychiatrist said it was ok to have some alcohol with my other medication but didn’t mention if it was for the seroquel

I think I was prescribed it for insomnia, he didn’t go into detail, my psychiatrist didn’t mention anything about me having bipolar or schizophrenia though most of my family is on antipsychotics (not anyone I can talk to though) so again I apologize for posting here since I’m not diagnosed with schizophrenia. I know it’s often prescribed for schizophrenia and bipolar so I figured you guys would know about it.

I just am wondering if it’s safe to take my pill for the night (25mg it says on the bottle) after having enough to feel a strong buzz / tipsy off alcohol (depending on whether I can control myself or not, I probably will be drunk later tonight)

Again, I’m sorry for posting here, I just want to know if it’s safe for me to take my pill tonight and I figured you guys would know about this bc when I google it, it says it’s often prescribed for bipolar and schizophrenia. I’m sorry for bothering you guys
