Is there a certain appearance to people with schizophrenia

Post Body

A long time ago, I was seeing a psychiatrist. I was telling him that I think I have schizophrenia. Now this was about 12 years before I was diagnosed with schizophrenia. The doctor tells me, you don't look like a person with schizophrenia. Then he says you don't have wild hair and your clothes are not dirty. I'm just confused at that point.
I stopped seeing him. Not for that reason though. I end up seeing a different doctor. This doctor said the same thing. I'm thinking to myself that i didn't think there was a certain look. All this time I thought that it had to do with my thoughts and hallucinations. I guess I was wrong. I'm not a doctor, so I wouldn't know.
