Yesterday I was about to go to the er. But I managed to get through the night so I could see the public system today. They decided to put me on lithium. I have no idea what a high or low dose is but they started me on 250mg morning and 250mg evening. I'm hopeful now. Which I wasn't last night. But im also worried. Worried about the side effects. When first starting what were your side effects? I'm not worried about the long term effects just the immediate short term ones. Like the nausea etc. I guess is anyone able to let us know what they're side effects were like in the first few days and how long did they last?

We are taking because I'm suicidal and severely depressed. Supposedly within 4 to 5 days I should be not feeling suicidal and within a few weeks I shouldn't be feeling depressed either. That makes me hopeful.
