Hello friends!

I appear to be the only active mod on this sub at the moment.

Now, unfortunately, I only have limited permissions. This means that I can (and do) remove spam posts, but I don't have the greater permissions required to adjust things like automod, the spam filter, or anything like that. So the battle against spam is currently me logging on and clicking the spam button regularly.

Obviously this isn't a sustainable model, so what can we do?

A few options:

1: We wait and hope that I get more permissions, or another mod with more permissions becomes more active and adjusts the settings.

2: We create a new sub (I've already created r/scarsgw), and migrate there. I'd rather keep this as a last resort, as it means that 15k subscribers disappear, but if it needs to happen it needs to happen.

3: I add more mods. We get more people clicking the "this is spam go away" button and pollute the feeds less - at a minor risk of having a rogue mod deleting genuine posts.

4: An option I haven't considered. I'm open to suggestions, ultimately I just want a positive place where people of all types can post themselves with their scars freely, and not suffer judgement, as we're all human.

I want to work with you all, the people that make this sub, and I'm not trying to lead a coup taking us to a new place.
