Post Body

As the title suggests, I have reason to belive my older coworker is falling victim to a online romance scammer pretending to be Jungkook from BTS.

Over the past few month she's gome from a normal BTS fan to a massive one, who follows everything they do, and constistantly brings them up in conversation, mostly her favourite member Jungkook. She even talks about how hard it is to be so famous, how they're really lonely and sad behind the scenes, and that they can't express themselves properly due to their label.

Not too long ago she asked me to help her set up a coinbase account to send crypto for some reason, and I advised her against it, arguing that it was likely anyone asking her to do so to send money or purchase anything using crypto was a scammer as they were trying to hide their identity and recive the money in a way she wouldn't be able to clam back.

Recently I noticed notifications on her phone from a google chat account named "Jeon Jung Kook PrivateBTS1" that appeard to be rather affectionate and romantic in nature.

I recently saw her messaging this account as well, and the conversation appeard to be very 'sexually charged'.

Recently she also confided in me that she had been receving scam attempts through messages, and whilst she didn't want to get into it, she mentiond they were pornographic and that they knew details about her she had no idea they would be able to find out.

I'm concerned the two are related and that someone impersonating Jungkook is obtaining senitive material/information from her, thet they are then trying to extort/scam her with, as well as playing a long term romance scam.

Any idea how to approach this? I'm worried that having seen those notifactions and her messaging, she'll feel I've invaded her privacy, but he's a really nice person and doesn't deserve to be scammed or lead on.
