A scammer posing as my grandma on Facebook, and my probably immature response
Post Body

So I got a Facebook messenger notification from what seemed to be my great grandmother asking how my day was and I responded how you’d expect. After exiting the conversation I then saw old message from her actual account, and the scammers profile only had changed profile pictures as their activity. We all agreed that it was a scammer. After getting off the bus today I informed her about this and she was not happy. When going back to the scammers message they sent a reply saying how they “just bought a new home” and asked me “have you heard about the recent good news” (I assume to set up whatever scam they planned). I then responded with this.

“The jig is up dumbass. I know you’re not my grandma. I saw a previous conversation from her actual account that tipped me off. Also, you barely even tried to make your profile convincing. Furthermore, I LITERATELY GET OFF THE BUS AT HER HOUSE!!! And even if I didn’t, my grandmother doesn’t work, so she wouldn’t be able to get a new house anyway. So tell me, why are you using my grandma of all people to try and scam me? And who else have you contacted?”

I’ll admit this was most definitely immature, but I was pissed at the whole situation.
