Brah, I'm new here. Just started online dating a week ago and already encountered romance scammer. Almost got scammed few days ago. It was a close one, close enough to give me a sweat. So I thought I'd ask here to learn how to recognize scammers better.
Note:  Legit non-native English speakers do exist, like immigrants, international students or workers, and I'm one of them.  Vice versa, speaking perfect native English itself does not mean the person is definitely not a scammer.
The purpose of this post, is to be educative for me, and those like me who had little experience dealing with online scammer before, to learn when to be extra wary and on guard. This, combined with other factors like how the person is directing the conversation to what end, can help us to find out how likely a person is a potential scammer.
